Jim Willie, very nice post. Although a US Dollar decline will be negative in the short term for US equities it will help in the long run with the trade deficit and it will help fight the dreaded deflation scenario. Looks like the Dollar broke it's near term rising support line today, but I'd like to see a follow through to the low 106 area to confirm.

Clearly a rising Dollar is unsustainable here. I think Greenspan realizes the inevitable and will simply try to control the rate at which the Dollar declines (same w/the stock market).
