By Deborah Adamson, CBS.MarketWatch.com
Last Update: 12:01 AM ET Oct. 25, 2002

LOS ANGELES (CBS.MW) - Every time Wall Street has another crisis of confidence, the
Profit Seekers Investment Club goes shopping.

The 19-member, all-female club in
Lafayette, La. has been scouring for
bargains as traders and fund managers
sell their stocks and hesitate about
committing more money to the market.

"There's a lot of good buys out there,"
said Shirley Dickie, treasurer of the club
that was named best performer this year
by the National Association of Investors
Corp., a well-known investment-club
group.

They're not alone.
