I have a problem with all of those investor sentiment surveys -
there are several I've seen and they are all a little different.

Of course, there is so much "news" out there, which one do we believe?

Interesting that that article came out, with investment clubs buying and Gates selling - on the same day -

I construe it as bearish.
The masses are correct in the middle. The DOW and S&P are really in the middle of their drops IMO. If the average guy is unwilling to pour more $ into the market it simply can not rise.

That argument would make more sense in a bull market where investors sudedenly turned bearish.

Of those that remain, optimism reigns king right now. How do I know?

89K calls vs 26K puts at strike 25
50K calls vs 18K puts at strike 26

Call volume building up on IBM INTC etc etc even after these huge runups.
