if I'm alone in my thinking. No, you are not, but for different reasons. I brought up the Belafonte situation to start with, and was surprised at the depth of feeling, both here and across the country. A lot of people are just fed up with this type of attack. People can say things to each other, within their group, that are off limits to those outside it. If Belafonte wanted to get after Powell in a "Barbershop," that's fine, but this is really off limits in a public environment. Race is such a "Third Rail" that we cannot really discuss it here without being called racists. Best to leave it alone.
