I wish I would have read your thread in January of 1998 and followed that philosophy since then. I actually thought I was a very good stock picker until late 2000 at which time I realized I was far from it! It was not until then that I decided I needed to change my approach. Since you had adopted the 70/20/10 rule back in 1998, you probably missed the wonderful "learning experience" I went through in 2000.

In the future if I mention 70/20/10 again I'll provide a link to your thread as your post has some real words of wisdom that few people really consider in their investing.
