I think it is, but there are a lot of signals these days, both positive and negative. The market is having a hard time figuring out which way to go. Today was a good example - a "bad" consumer confidence report and the market "tanked", however, it did recover quite a bit just before the close.

It looks to me, when reviewing many of the charts of the last 3 to 4 weeks, that the upward trend is tending to flatten out. We probably need a little rest in upward price movement, but does that rest include some fallback in prices? It bears close watching.

Yesterday(a down day in the overall market), AMAT gained about a point on almost 52M shares, almost twice its normal volume. Someone is buying and buying big.
