Well Steve if it is a secular bear that will last through this decade (and possibly a bit farther than that) then we may have 2 more recessions and accompanying bear markets which could then finally bring us down to expected valuations. I don't expect this first bear to do it.

On the other hand, I think most of the times that the 4 year cycle had a delayed low into the first half of the "5th year" were during big bad bear markets. So I think there really is a chance to have a lower low later this year or in the first half of next year. Depends on whether we are sliding into a recession here, and if so how bad will it be.
