Re: I've not said a word about Sharon, but you make presumptions about my views on this.

Likewise, I've never said a word about Saddam, but you make presumptions about my views on this.

Re: Both sides were very close to a negotiated solution when Israel was willing to concede about 97% of the Palestinians land claims,...

That's the Judeofascist propaganda that used to be spun again and again by the pro-Israel media... As I said, you can keep those 97% BUT give up on the remaining 3%, namely, East Jerusalem. Relinquish Israeli sovereignty over East Jerusalem and 99.9999% of the Mideast crisis will be over.

Re: I still accuse you of being the ultimate hypocrite. Your reference to Israel as "judeofascists" is a clear indication of some deep seated bias, and I certainly haven't seen you refer to Saddam Hussein or Arafat as "islamicfascists".

Hypocrite?!? In what capacity should I be an hypocrite? Listen: as a born-again atheist, I don't give a damn about Jerusalem --hence I don't see why that city couldn't be EQUALLY shared by Muslims and Jews (and Christians). As for your equating Saddam with Arafat, that's another cheap trick by Judeofascist spinmeisters: Saddam Hussein is a head of state whereas Yasser Arafat is still a freedom fighter --Arafat is the Gerry Adams of the Middle East. Would Irish Americans call Mr G. Adams, leader of the Sinn Fein, a Fascist??? However, you may have a point on Saddam: he is a fascist, although not an "islamofascist" since he never used Islam as an ideological machine to prop up his regime. Keep in mind that Iraq's chief diplomat Tareq Aziz is Christian...(*) Then again, which Mideast regime isn't fascist one way or the other? Israel is a Judeofascist garrison-state cloaked in a parody of democracy, Saudi Arabia is an Islamic plutocracy, Russia is a Judeofascist mobocracy, India is but a hellish hindufascist anthill (BJP, intouchables), and so on.

Footnote to my previous post:

Excerpt:

Ghosheh said Tuesday he agreed to accept the post because "the issue of Jerusalem is a basic and sensitive one."

"There are many responsibilities facing us, especially in light of the dangerous conditions in which Jerusalem is living in," Ghosheh said. "On the political level, Jerusalem is being subjected to a campaign of [Jewish] settlement, and there are attempts to empty it of the Arab residents. On the economic and social level, the situation is increasingly deteriorating."

The fact Arafat has appointed two high-ranking officials to the Jerusalem portfolio is more than a gimmick, according to informed sources. Many Palestinians have accused the PA of abandoning Jerusalem by turning a blind eye to Israeli measures in the city that are aimed at creating irreversible facts on the ground. They fear the government of Prime Minister Ariel Sharon is working hard to create a new reality that will make it impossible to divide the city in the future, as former prime minister Ehud Barak proposed at the Camp David summit in 2000.

By naming Ghosheh to the Jerusalem position, Arafat is signaling that he is prepared to make a comeback, the sources said.
