LazMan, you miss the saver point, it trumps all else

we have worse accounting fraud, but that is coupled with horrendous crippling and eventually devastating debt

Japan survived their K-Winter because they are savers
will the USA?
why do you focus so much on Japan?
I asked you to view China as receiving the baton
China is 25x larger than Japan, making it almost irrelevant within the confines of Asian discussion !!!

Japan is 20 years ahead of us in timetable
they survived so far due to savings
creditor nations survive deflationary episodes
debt nations are liquidated !!!
will we survive?

many Asian companies are govt-subsidized
ok
and what about American deficit spending, subsidizing US consumers with tax refunds, subsidizing US corporations with defense/ security/ farms/ university/ pork projects?

you focus too much on Asian problems, and not enough on comparison to Americans

I am hoodwinked?
I dont think so
I focus on both Asia and US against a backdrop where Asia saves absolutely prolifically
while Americans spend prolifically and are in debt at levels never witnessed before in the history of mankind

try focusing on USA in comparison
start with our fraud even in the face of existing CFTC, SEC, FBI ruling bodies
for every Japanese fraud case (I count a couple), you have 10 in USA
stronger laws didnt help, did it?

hoodwinked? you are funny
think about your last comment
"Japan doesnt spend enough to get their own economy going"
their saving level saved them from collapse
they now hold hundreds of billions of US$ to help them thru this mess
furthermore, Japan owns its own debts

what does the USA hold?
$6,000,000,000,000 in federal debt (45% owned by foreigners)
$12,000,000,000,000 in household debt
$24,000,000,000,000 in corporate debt
debtors are liquidated during deflations, remember that

what good are stern accounting rules when they are violated?
what good is technological develpmt when debts overshadow?
arguing with you is like talking to a monkey
