i just don't know. it's hard to imagine how any intelligent thinking person could possibly interpret another rate cut as a positive, but the market will do what the market will do.

i do expect a lunchtime retrace of this morning's drop...before we continue the Big Retrace.

if we get that cut Thursday(25basis likely), i can only see a knee-jerk trader's play pop, I have doubt it would last even to Friday's open.
people who think it over i think will pick up on fed is right now, imo, fighting a real threat of deflation.
And lowering interest rates isn't a great tool.
Except for inflated housing, consumers have been saying yes we kept spending the past 2 years because you made refinancing alluring at the same time you were giving us cars and computers etc at fire sale prices.
But try to raise those prices now, watch us stop spending.
And if housing market so much as slips to flat pricing, there will be trouble imo.
