Thank you for helping to educate me. I have looked at the articles and press releases you have sent me by PM and concluded that they don't support the contention that QCOM will not be disadvantaged if China supports the new standard, if that is your contention.

The issue about the new standard being more cost-effective for densely populated urban areas is quite interesting.

In spite of QCOM's formidable patent position, they cannot favor the proliferation of an endless number of differing and incompatible standards and platforms, if for no other reason than that they diminish potential economies of scale.

Well, here we are about a week before earnings, and we've had this quarter's pre-earnings-release FUD right on schedule. The only surprise is that it didn't come from NOK this time. Gee, maybe they're losing their edge? <g>
