Interesting

In a recent management meeting the following was predicted for 2003.

1. Incentives, zero percent financing, don't pay until 2004 will make crush durable consumer good margins.

2. Because of the market conditions almost all companies will be dumping money into their pensions further eroding earnings.

3. Cost cutting will be even more vicious. Vendors/Suppliers will be beaten into the dirt.

Does this sound like a great IT market?

Purchasing is renegotiating service contracts on a quarterly basis. Don't look for that to save IBM, EDS or Compuware. It's all about who can be the lowest cost today, and who cares what you did yesterday.

Time to start picking up puts.
