Marvin, something like 40% of China's exports go to the USA. So, if China doesn't pay for intellectual property, the USA could charge a 40% import duty on all products going from China to the USA.

<The Chinese govt holds that the US patent on drug only is enforceable on that formulation. In other words all a Chinese company has to do is produce a new formulation (any powder will do) and they do not have to pay royalties to an american drug company. >

I don't think Hu Jintao will want to collapse China's economy in his first year. That would end his rule. If he wants to make his mark on history, he'll have to do better than try to steal property from other people like some hillbilly cargo-cultist.
