I would have to see the study and the choices. For example, you didn't indicate how many said they were sad. Nor do we know the framework of the study.

I spent a few years designing and evaluating public opinion polls and questionnaires. I know many of the tricks of getting the answers you want, and also know how terribly hard it is to get accurate information even when you're trying to.

Do you have a cite to the actual study?
