thanks for posting -- hedge fund has to be right, I guess ... I still think it will be a teenager. We'll never hear if that guy cuts his losses selling into the ramp caused by the release, will we? <s>

Lampert is a very good investor no doubt but he owns some duds too; he owns 10% of Payless which has gone nowhere, his AutoNation stake (he owns about 25%) is not doing much for him either. great long-term track record, but it should be noted that he's made a $1.3 billion -ish profit on just his AutoZone stake (and his AZO stake is roughly 40% of his assets given that he owns 25mm shares and has assets of $5 billion) so one could argue if one was so inclined that he was just lucky (though he did have a good track record even before he got involved in AZO).

i think he's going to lose his shirt.
