this is an obvious snub of vice president and mrs. cheney...

"alter a populist service"????

puh-leeze....

so we have a president in attendance, an ex-president...senators and other "dignataries"...but the presence of dick and lynn cheney will "alter" a populist service...

so sad they saw fit to use the death of sen. wellstone to try to score some sick political points with....guess i should say....with *whatever*....cannot imagine what type of individuals would assent to that except the most partisan hacks.

I want to rage but I'll keep it to myself.

By all accounts Wellstone was a man who believed in his principles, and thus a rare commodity (though one I disagreed with on 90 percent of the issues). His route to politics was different than most. It is unfortunate that his reputation will be tarnished, even if only a little, by that sort of small mindedness.

Dick Cheney and Walter Mondale are both welcome at my funeral. Even Clinton is......as long as he doesn't hit on my wife.
