I believe in your bottom line conclusions that QCOM will end up a huge winner for its shareholders. We hear a lot of comments about te "euro cartel" or "Nokia this and that" but to me the bottom line is that the decisions makers will eventually do what is in their best interests economically and if that means that WCDMA goes out the window or whatever and CDMA is further adopted, then I think that is what will take place. If as most here believe that the CDMA assortment is the most effective and least expensive way to go considering the benefits to be derived, then common sense tells me that is what will eventually happen whether it be Europe or elsewhere.

Re China, there is no way that they would isolate themselves with a unique standard even if they thought it might work. I realize that China is "just positioning" itself with this crap but why is it so widely accepted and promulgated when it is so far fetched in the minds of those that are supposed to be experts?

What really pisses me off though are firms like CSFB who manipulate information but are not held accountable. If you are a LTBH who cares but I trade options so it can have a disasterous effect depending on the timing.
The price of this stock is going to be based on its earnings. Hopefully we will see substantial earnings growth commencing with next weeks report. I AM BETTING ON IT !!
