Thanks for the article Brian. My post referred to AMAT's share of the overall wafer fab equipment market. There seems to be a discrepancy between the article you posted and AMAT's share of the overall WFE market. For example, the article states Applied's market shares dropped in 2001 but AMAT's share increased to 34.3% in 2001 from 29.1% in 2000.

Perhaps there are timing issues or perhaps the article refers to orders. I will try to find my source data for WFE spending and check my figures.
