If Bush did off Wellstone, better watch out, because you're next. The secret plan calls for rounding up all the lefties and putting them into concentration camps.;^)

SS,

This is really lame and goes beyond the pale.

I guess if you print this, you may as well post articles and speaches by Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan. And Jerry Falwell.

David Duke anyone?

And weren't you complaining about right-wing demonizing?

John

Y'know something Scott.. You're quite a piece of work...

And to think people have actually defended the fact that you only tend to post other people's tripe, rather than post your own opinions out here..

Well, think about it... Why would any Republican candidate want to "off" Wellstone when it's apparent that Walter Mondale, a known political quantity would step in to take his place and quite likely carry the election on a sympathy vote??

After all, didn't we just see something similar with Frank Lautenburg taking place when Toricelli dropped out in New Jersey?? Now he's considered a shew in...

If anyone had an interest in "offing" Wellstone, it was the democratic party officials who might have been concerned about his vulnerability against Coleman given that the race was extremely tight.

Wellstone had also be diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (though thought to be mild).. Also, he violated his promise to only be a two-term Senator and Coleman was able to use this effectively against him..

Also, bear in mind that Coleman was formerly a democrat who only switched over to the Republican party in 1996.

Your interest in domestic senatorial conspiracy theories seems not only off topic on this thread, but rather far fetched.

But thanks for playing....

Hawk

S2, it's too bad that the thought even occurred to the writer and we live in an atmosphere of monumental distrust. I'm thinking where is the writer's responsibility is in all this? He was tapping away on his laptop as the memorial service was taking place.

If he spews out "it is the public's right to know" I say that's total horseshit. Some of these news jockies aught to slither out of the gutter, think about the timing of such article and do some real research before they put this kind article out there.

Don't get me wrong, I don't trust Shrub and his colleagues (except Powell) but I would be damn sure if I tried to take them out with an editorial, I'd have some facts behind it.

My only argument is one of timing and content....this guy has no integrity or class at all....can you imagine Reston or any of his colleagues ever writing a column like this?

An the supreme irony...Senator Wellstone never would have written anything like this.

Congratulations Scott! You've hit a new all-time low with this cut and paste (calling it posting would be giving it too much credit). For Ted Rall it's status quo, however. You would have enjoyed being here last night where during a 4 hour, televised on all local channels, Democratic rally a memorial service for the tragic deaths of 8 people broke out...if only for a little while.

Aren't there some cattle that need watering somewhere?
