Agreed! People's sensibilities get in the way of politics.

I heard someone say today that it was just an emotional response to take the death penalty into account in capitol murder cases, and that there wasn't room for human emotion in decisions of the death penalty.

Say what? Emotions don't figure into the decision to put a fellow human to death for crimes so atrocious that they are too horrible to contemplate?

What then is the rule based on?
