If you understand nothing else, you really DO need to understand that liberals drive down to these things, while conservatives watch it on TV. Any political pro will tell you that. The same goes for political polls. More conservatives hang up on the questioner. It's a privacy thing. (And that's why the party's more expensive private pollsters don't work that way). Liberals look at every day and see an endless Gay Pride parade. ("We're a big, loving family, and we're all voting for Mondale.") Conservatives trudge down to the polls ON ELECTION DAY, having REGISTERED PREVIOUSLY, and do their best to help their country survive (and realize that the issue is, and always will be, in doubt)...
