Hi Paul, Really only two players out there with the resources - one can't play due to Antitrust - and it is a bad fit.That would be GM. When I was 19, I started working for GM - during that time period, everyone feared that GM would be forced to sell off Chevrolet, thusly all the GMPD,GMAD,GMAC divisions.They organized such that a divestiture would be structurally impossible. Secondly all the products would overlap. The perfect fit is Toyota.They have the money and they have the small cars and trucks - they don't have the big cars or trucks.In addition you could offer Volvo ,Jaguar and Lexus - the biggest Luxury global combination ever - very powerful!! It would be a wonderful combination and it would scare the dickens out of me. I just drove up to Shreveport to buy used vehicles.It is unbelievable how loaded up Ford dealers are with product. I need vehicles so bad we're calling to buy from other dealers.Surprising end of month fleet business from companies, has boosted October sales over September sales by 20% plus. My dealership has less than a 45 day supply of vehicles - ABSOLUTELY lower than it ever has been in the past period. I've played it conservative - thinking a war would glue everyone to the TV and stall sales.I still might have that right - but I didn't expect an increase in business/commercial buying at the end of the year. If this keeps up - I'll have to repave the lot or it will look like I'm going out of business!! gg Tough problem to have - Merry Christmas came early !!
