Hello m.philli

If I may offer a reply. At this stage of development and information release, only DE BEERS could truthfully answer that and I doubt they are likely to.

So the short simple answer to your question is that it could be any combination of the four C's (excluding Cut).

Regards

Vaughn

i don't think you'll ever get a straight answer on that question. Diavik's A154S is a $80 odd US per ct I think - but they get 4.2cpt and ABZ won't say what makes up that #. Are they lower grade stones - IE - do they have internal flaws and bad shapes? They won't say and the implications are that the stones are nice since Tiffany's get first pick of the stones and they are a resellor who only wants 'gems'.
Diamonds are a pain in the neck to value out.
Companies do a large bulk hoping to get 2000cts to get a valuation done from 2 separate valuators and then they use that # as thier per ct value. MPV had a pkg of stones valued at $65K US and 1 stone accounted for $60K - it was a 9.9ct stone.
I probably didn't help at all here did I !
