"Look at all the things you've tried."

Your goal in this exchange is...???

If I remember right you admitted to error and made repeated pleas simply for the opportunity to show that you could be counted on to demonstrate a more dignified presence; and to begin to rebuild trust and credibility among the members of this community...or something like that. As this issue has been revisited from time to time the results have been the opposite. Almost like alcoholics falling off the wagon we return to the place we last had our fix and seek a new bottom.

I could be wrong but it appears to me that Poet seeks to participate as a member of this forum without heavy historical encumbrances.

IMO this is a little over egocentric..."But apparently you just couldn't be on SI without being around me."

I remember a time when a simple heart felt apology would have served you well but you let the opportunity slip away.

Apparently you have been successful in remaining prominantly in the mix of posters. So, to participate in the forum it behoves all of us to have some modicum of reconciliation...as apposed to simply getting over the issue and moving on, which really does not seem rational given the depth and complexity of the issue(s).
