By Globe Staff and Wires, 11/1/2002

A group of investors, including the Boston Stock Exchange and four securities firms, announced the creation of the Boston Options Exchange, the sixth such institution in the country. Backers also include Credit Suisse First Boston, JPMorgan, Salomon Smith Barney, UBS Warburg, and the Montreal Stock Exchange.
