What Mish. said about jobs heading to China is, well, obvious to everyone
But here, locally, again, it really hits home.

There are a lot of Tool and Die shops here too.
Mostly mold makers.
Well, big customers(ie: Gillette, P&G, Rev and other big CPs) are all sending their work to china to have molds built for like 20 cents on our US dollar.
We were just at an auction about 80 miles south of here.
A large EDM machine costing 70K went for $2300!
Sadly enough
No one has much of a need for it right now.
And with other shops closing too
Gonna be a lot of surplus machinery hitting the market too.
