If you define preventing mass starvation or genocide as "imposing our values", well, okay, guess we are. It makes no sense to me, though, when we do not stay in as imperial masters and force feed our values to the indigenous populace, but it is your party. As for the rest, anyone not aware of the geostrategic struggle we were engaged in with the Soviet Union, or who cannot tell the difference between a dictator actively facilitating drug running and states that cannot completely control it, has an amazing disregard for historical detail.
