GW, ask Bubba what he thinks of the Republicans sending a letter to the Wellstone campaign on Saturday, demanding that there be 5 public debates scheduled this week between their candidate and the Wellstone replacement.

I imagine he thinks that's in very good taste.

I suppose you believe that Republicans would not have in any way brought up politics at a memorial service under the same circumstances.

As usual, the only excuse is "the other side would have done it, too". This is, of course, the standard liberal response, but the reality is that the Republicans WOULD NOT have done it, too.

Realistically, it IS the waning days of a political campaign. However, there is little doubt that the Republicans, faced with similar circumstances, would have been more considerate.
