They are likely to be self absorbed. Lots of people are self absorbed. I'm not sure if we know if people without consciences are any more self absorbed than anyone else. I'm not even sure if you can really tell the difference between someone without a conscience, and someone with a conscience different from your own. The person who acts very differently might have a very developed conscience, but you might not recognize it as that, since you do not like the way they act. Their awareness is only about how they fair in the world. If they have made a commitment to some code of living, If they make a commitment to a code and refer to it, than they have a conscience- because they are aware of a code and they are using it. I don't think there is any escaping that. they are likely to compulsively You can be compulsive and still have a conscience. I don't see why compulsivity negates conscience, you certainly aren't getting that from any denotation of the word. And no connotation supports that either- you are adding that, illogically, I think. adhere to the strict guidelines of doctrine and fanatically behave toward the extreme...to be on top of it all, or in control of it all, to win on their particular course of fanaticism; without weighing that against a personal heart felt consideration of the humanity that is also at issue This is simply not a requirement of the simple word "conscience" ...in other words "no conscience" about harming an innocent human that is in the way of their goal. That does not mean they haven't rationalized and justified their course of action according to the dictates of the fanatical course. Ah here we have it- what you mean rather than "no conscience" is: "no conscience" about harming an innocent human " In order to say what you mean, you need that whole cluster of words. Mere " no conscience" is not the same as "no conscience" about harming an innocent human ". You need the about, and you need the rest of it. You cannot expect to use a word, when you really meant a phrase. IMO
