o/t NFL Running backs...

I'm too young to have seen Jimmy Brown in his prime (vbg) but, the videotape highlights of his career, his stats and most impressively, the testimony of his peers; make him imho, the undisputable #1.

For #2... I vote for Gayle Sayers of the Bears, injuries cut his career short.

3. Barry Sanders

For "modern era" Baseball Pitchers ?

1. agree on Koufax... his best 5 years were unmatched.
2. Bob Gibson of his '68ish season era - was awfully, awfully tough... brought the "slider" to the forefront of the pitch it is today.
#'s 3- 10 are a tough call...but, Carlton & Seaver in their prime have to be high on that list.

Football QB's are the tough one (vbg).... I'd take Montana for my starter for a 1 Game/Super Bowl Scenario, Marino is probably/arguably #1, then you'll have the arguement for the Unitas's, Namath's, Star's, Staubach's, Tarkenton's of the prior era.
