You may be right, I'm not the best to judge. To be honest, most speeches by IBM execs sound like extended Dilbert cartoons to me. At least Gerstner kept his mouth shut, a very wise move.

I'm sure they're all going to "team across functional boundaries" to "surprise and delight their customers" at a "6-sigma" level, using "just-in-time" integrated methodology, with "quality as job one". Or whatever.

When I was in the e-beam litho business, long ago, we used to joke that our 6-sigma mission statement was to place all the little rectangles on the wafers so that only 1 in 6-sigma was messed up. Management never smiled, honestly I don't think they ever got it.
