I do not see myself as a victim, in part because I don't see any victims here at all. I see a number of people who threw around an awful lot of quite absurd accusations and charges and counter charges without benefit to anyone. But I don't see myself as a victim, nor do I see you, nor Laz, nor jla, nor Poet, nor E, nor anybody else here as a victim. We are all here voluntarily, we could all have departed at any time at no cost to ourselves other than missing out on the discussions of one of several thousand threads on SI. That is not, IMO, the definition of victimization.

(In deference to X, I will go to the dictionary to support that statement.

victim

\Vic"tim\, n. [L. victima: cf. F. victime.] 1. A living being sacrificed to some deity, or in the performance of a religious rite; a creature immolated, or made an offering of. Led like a victim, to my death I'll go. --Dryden.

2. A person or thing destroyed or sacrificed in the pursuit of an object, or in gratification of a passion; as, a victim to jealousy, lust, or ambition.

3. A person or living creature destroyed by, or suffering grievous injury from, another, from fortune or from accident; as, the victim of a defaulter; the victim of a railroad accident.

4. Hence, one who is duped, or cheated; a dupe; a gull. [Colloq.]

Nope. Not what happened here.

BTW, neither Laz nor JLA were ever there for me at any time. To suggest that is to rewrite history.

There was an accusation that you played a "reverend" role and in the process
drew some of the members of the forum into a compromising deceit.

Clarify, please. Who was drawn into what compromising deceit?
