I believe that the phone companies are special case because

1. the amount of debt they went into...

2. the unmaterialized demand they said it would exist in countries where they can hardly eat, let alone get a third Internet line...

While important, there are other segments of the economy that are not in the dire straits that the phone people are.

Again, I am not saying that rosie times are around the corner, I am simply saying that bar a terrorist attack of catastrophic proportions, (i.e. detonation of a nuclear devise or similar)... we will come through...

In fact.... there seems to be such pessimism here and there that indeed... the worst has been seen...

But I cannot say that in public. -g
