JDN, the mindless have always been behind the wheel. At least while she's on the phone, she's got her eyes if not her mind on the road ahead, whereas if she's not on the phone, she'll be looking in the mirror putting on makeup, which I suspect is even worse. I don't think people can be made to concentrate on driving by banning this, that, the other and the infinite array of things which they can use as an excuse not to focus on where they are going. If the driver can see the screen, they can, while stopped at lights, check their destination or whatever information they want, which will help their trip, not harm their trip. Anything which helps a trip is a good thing. People choose to look at screens, tune radios, light cigarettes [lighters haven't been banned in cars, nor radios, nor eating, nor looking at face in mirror, nor looking at the scenery, nor anything else]. It's Ludditism to ban cellphones. Mqurice
