Mr. HF RevShark Grudge Match 10/31/02 10:49 AM ET This afternoon should be very interesting. We are setting up for a big battle later today. On one side we have the hedge funds that think the market is horrendously overvalued. They are very anxious to short this move in technology. On the other side are the mutual funds that want to hold stocks up for the end of the fiscal year reporting. Throw in the fact that we have important economic data tomorrow, and we should see quite a fight. I'm looking for the hedge funds to gain the upper hand this afternoon. Generally the funds don't risk being too blatant about window-dressing in the last few hours, and I think we'll see the hedge fund guys starting pressing those shorts a lot harder as the day wears on. thestreet.com
