Agreed.. As for the news release, it is correct.. I used to love to drive down that way.. Not any more.. I don't want to be hassled or worse.. People think, may be some of this reaction is exaggerated but I have a friend who is a canadian citizen, american green card, married to an asian woman and has a kid.. Born in Karachi.. He travels every week end between Seattle and Vancouver since he works there and his family is here.. Couple of weeks ago, for the first time, he was stopped and they gave him a real hard time.. He is so spooked, that what could happen if he was just dumped in some cell since he would have no recourse.. You can't call any body, do anything.. That is it until they decide to let you go.. And there are innocents caught in this.. Some because they overstayed their visa.. Any case, he decided, green card is something he can live without so he is going to just pack it in as far as commute there goes..
