can you say 48% off at ibm??

The analysts said in a client note that they expect IBM to make the price reductions on its DB2 Standard Edition database in November.

"We expect IBM to cut prices from $14,500 per CPU to $7,500 per CPU, a price cut of 48 percent. This will take DB2 back to a 2-to-1 price advantage versus Oracle Standard Edition, which sells for $15,000 per CPU," the analysts said.
