That clears up a lot of questions. I like this part,

PERCEPTION
Short-sellers spread lies about companies.

REALITY
Sometimes. But more often than not, their research is among the most detailed
and accurate in the investing community.

Considering the risk, I would hope to be informed. I would want to base my decisions on more than just an opinion.

Credibility is always the best argument whether your position is long, short or whatever.
