Former BellSouth Executive to Lead Internap's Worldwide Marketing Efforts
Telecommunications Veteran Named Chief Marketing Officer

ATLANTA, November 07, 2002 - Internap Network Services Corporation (NASDAQ: INAP), a leading provider of intelligent routing services over the Internet, today announced that David L. Abrahamson, a former senior marketing executive with BellSouth, has joined the company as vice president and chief marketing officer. Abrahamson will oversee Internap's worldwide marketing strategy, programs and product management. His primary focus will be on driving growth through new products and services, developing strategic partnerships and increasing public and business awareness of Internap's world-class Internet-based enterprise services.

Prior to joining Internap, Abrahamson led BellSouth's e-business applications and services organization where he was responsible for developing and managing BellSouth's Internet data center products and services. Abrahamson was a key executive responsible for BellSouth's advancement in Internet services, including the launch of managed storage services, voice application hosting and complex managed hosting services.

"David's extensive telecommunications experience and specific expertise in e-business product management, product marketing and channel marketing will be instrumental in advancing Internap's leadership in the Internet services marketplace," said Greg Peters, president and CEO of Internap. "David's skills and leadership are indicative of the management talent we are attracting to Internap."

Internap offers business customers a portfolio of Internet-based services, including its patented ASsimilator® route optimization products, which utilize up to nine domestic IP backbones, VPN, video, network monitoring and management, data storage and retrieval, collocation and content distribution services.

"Internap has already proven its value to more than 1,200 national and global businesses by delivering superior performance and customer service, and by helping its clients reduce risks associated with costly downtime, effectively managing costs and enhancing the overall experience of doing business through the Internet," said Abrahamson. "I am excited to be part of the new leadership team which will take Internap to a new level, creating a comprehensive business strategy that drives Internap's product and market expansion and supports its growing base of customers."

Abrahamson began his career with Sprint where he held numerous senior management positions in accounting operations and finance before becoming a key marketing executive in the consumer business unit. During this period, Abrahamson launched the most successful marketing campaign in Sprint's history, growing revenues and margins at twice the market rate.

Abrahamson graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor's degree in accounting and business and obtained a master's degree from Kansas University. Abrahamson is actively engaged in the Atlanta community, serving on the board of the Georgia Arthritis Foundation as vice chairman of Financial Development and on the board of advisors for Quality Care for Children, a non-profit organization focused on the development and well-being of underprivileged children. Abrahamson resides in Alpharetta, Georgia, with his wife, Pam and three children.
