The Dems have made many promises over the years and Page probably was promised a shot but if you notice they are notoriously bad at keeping their promises after the elections. Case in point, ...Reparation. That was the payoff to the black leaders in 1996. The Democratic party knew that would not fly with the American public but made the promises anyway and the black leaders lied to their constituents in which the average black person believed they would see a payment from Uncle Sam. That was never the plan. The black leaders would decide where the money would go (as in their pockets). (IMO)
