SemiBear, never lump everyone into the same category.

Personally, I am on record several times here stating that I expect a double dip recession for several reasons including an impending war in Iraq, expensing of stock options, and pension funding woes.

That being said taunting those who manage to partake in basically a good natured discussion of semiconductor stocks and semi equipment stocks including the potential for the economy to go one way or another without so much as sharing a single reason why you think the economy will double dip is not acceptable.

Play nice please.

SemiBear,

I agree with most of what you say, except about stocks. I think your pessimism re stocks is maybe misplaced. Have a great day. I hope you're not short anything going into today.

I will ask you to entertain this one idea. That stocks will not go down if earnings are expected to go up. Regardless of valuation. As hard as that is to accept, I think it is true. Think of it as normally intelligent people whose vision is obscured by hopes of capital gains. We'll be in one of those periods for several weeks.
