set your home page to something real simple and generic. like yahoo.com - something without a ton of graphics? what kind of internet connection do you have. larry

Try clicking on Tools/internet options/connections/Lan settings. Then UNclick "use a proxy server for your LAN".

That worked for me when I had a similar problem on IE6.
