Wished I had listened to Fleck on how bad the stinkin' SOX was going to get! I tried to catch the bottoms too early in those stocks.
Prechter was good on the upside with gold also, at least on the tail end of gold's spectacular bull market way back when, but you are correct in that he did miss a lot of the bullish times in the stock market, and that fact caused many not to trust him as they used to.... It was Robert Prechter and Liebe Geft of the old Financial News Network back in 1980 that sparked my interest in this business, and sometimes I'm happy about that.... <g>

I noticed Prechter's latest book for sale in the Bangkok airport just a few days ago... an indication that it's gone mainstream?

FNMA program...""The program's flexibility may actually help reduce defaults and foreclosures," she said. "Their (Fannie Mae's) innovative product actually helps consumers stay in their homes."
***Yeah right! If they have to skip a payment to meet other expenses then they they are hurting to begin with. Why don't they give them a debit card with the value of the house as the limit? Geez.....IDIOTS!! No wonder we are where we are today.

Jim, the Prechter book circa 1995 is " At the Crest of the Tidal Wave" I liked it not for timing but for seeing how things do move in waves with the benefit of hindsight now if i could only forecast :) .mike
