HCT while I share your sentiment as you expressed it, this particular statement was telling at least for me;
"I would have thought after such a huge decline the past few years that it would have wiped out the residue of the ingrained bullishness of the late 90s, but I guess it's going to take something really bad and unforeseen to ever accomplish that."

My thought regarding this statement, is that is a bias by itself, which rules out the spirit of entreprenuership in the economy. It speaks to what I've said about why the rotation of capital is happening, as Investors and traders are trying like hell to figure out whose business will matter most to the economic fabric in the future. Without this element every trend would go on forever. Bears as a class see the glass as mostly empty,bulls as mostly full; entreprenuers see the status of the glass, as opportunity.

There are tremendous shifts coming from the last 10 years spending in infrastructure for productivity, we are now entering a phase of Apllications specificity, where the base line will be built upon in a value added way.

The Markets reflect this indirectly. Uncertainty is guiding the market, because those focused on the market are not looking at the trees that define the forest.

Many will just enter in a fasion that recognizes the past business cycle, not realizing the changes, rarely do you see or here from pundits who recognize transitions for what they are ahead of the curve. Perhaps those pundits are out there selling their insight privately, and disdain the fact that someone might leak what they know to a broader audience. It's in the Human factors of entrprenuership that will remake the market.

That you can take to the bank.

I have a hard time seeing that if the economy worsens here. This rally could not last if we are going into a 9 month recession. But for now, yes I have to respect it. Very bullish looking close here.
