Even though GM and F were down %-wise, the report on TV compared it to October post 9/11 one year ago, which was the biggest vehicle sales month ever. Anyway, if the driver in PCE (personal consumer goods) was personal durable goods, I assumed that was autos and not refrigerators and dryers, but maybe it was the stuff from Sears and not the stuff from Sal's Best Buick? That doesn't make sense to me, the driver in the 3rd quarter had to be cars, right? Kb
