Oh....I read your note to suggest that there were lots of bulls around SI because the vote was 2:1 that we move to the old hs neckline in the next couple months. I don't view a move to that area to be bullish at all, in that time frame. In fact, I don't view a move to the 200ma in that time frame to be bullish, either. Maybe I misread your post.

(OT) I believe it has to do with

one's perception of another's perception. Naturally, you can continue this (in principle) ad infinitum.

What one does as a contrarian is to base one's actions on another's perception of a situation.

Imagine how interesting it would all get if one based his/her actions on one's perception of another's perception of the first's perception of the second's.

You may complicate it further if you like. When I was young, I used to go through a similar kind of thinking at our local barbershop --- there was large mirror before me and a large mirror behind the barber. So I had a recursive view of how my hair was being cut!
