I would say it is more likely because Wal Mart undercuts other local stores prices.

My son has a job there at our local store. Its one of those superstores. The management is very good with the staff. They are a highly motivated bunch. Basically he does stocking and they pay him more than the minimum wage, are flexible with his hours and provide decent benefits. He really likes working there. He sees all his friends and our neighbors.
