The States expects us to keep up with a taxbase of 1:10

Now, let's say the Canadian population is one tenth the population of the States. And, let's assume that the average tax rate in canada is 30 percent higher than in the States, then, how is it that the taxbase is 1:10. In any case, that's irrelevant. The issue is that we, as Canadians, have set ourselves priorities that just don't make a whole lot of sense such as our expensive State controlled broken health care system.

We are a nation a whiners - just like France. We expect a lot from the US but we are pretty good at knocking them at every turn. The Liberals and their lack of foreign policy have turn Canada as an international embarrasment. How do you think the boys in Washington react when they hear that Chretien goes to an international conference and sits in the same room as the leader of a well known terrorist organization that killed hundreds of American? And when pressed on the subject all he can say is: "I don know, me shake da hand of da guy becasue day are allowed da freedom of expression too, you know."
