Hi aerosappy - The market timer I was refering to is Arch Crawford. One of my other timing forecasters, James Rorhbach, who has a longer time frame and uses more of a trend following methodology, turned bullish on the NYSE on Oct 30. He had turned bullish on Nasdaq about 2 weeks before.

One a 1 year time frame I'm still bearish because of valuations are too high. Dow at 5000- 6000 might be closer a reasonable level. Remeber the Dow stocks tend to be well run, internationally diversified and have cheap access to capital. the rest of the stock market will be harder hit -

I think we could see a bull run for 1-3 months, however - and it could be an exciting bull run, wtih new sectors becoming leaders, like energy, metals and maybe something else - maybe defense stocks.. The recent leaders such as homebuilders and health care are out of steam.
