Do you really think so, at this point? We're not going to get into a dispute about how much "a lot" is, are we? Yes, I think so, at least short term. An apology would validate her, which I think is priceless to her. It also gives her an opportunity to demonstrate her magnanimity when she forgives you, thus enhancing her stature as a peacemaker, an image she seemingly cultivates. Plus it gives her bunches of limelight. Yes, I think that transaction would would give her a great deal of satisfaction. Whether or not it would be enduring is another matter.
